Hi there! We are Rachel and Ana, the owners here at Sugar Ray's. Rachel started the bakery 12 years ago here in Plano, Texas where she was born and raised. After graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in restaurant hotel and institutional management and working part time for a DJ and photographer in Dallas, Rachel began baking for friends and family and soon after, a whole lot more people! I’m so thankful that word-of-mouth quickly spread and not long after I started baking I signed the lease on my first brick and mortar shop. What started off as a sheer passion has turned into a full-blown business and even after 10+ years I can honestly say I love what I do and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

The shop has been fortunate enough to be named best bakery in DFW for many years as well as best in Plano. We were also named best macaron in Dallas, once you try them you will not disagree!

I have the amazing support of my family, and my 2 kids Olivia and Cruz. This shop is truly a dream come true and I’m so honored to get to serve the city that I grew up in with the best cupcakes, cakes, cookies and macarons around!!

Last year Ana came on as a partner in the business after working as a cake decorator at the shop for over 2 years. She brings 15 years of international baking experience and is an amazing cake decorator.

We have also been lucky enough to be seen on the Cooking channel as well as to compete on and WIN an episode of Sugar Rush on Netflix, and this ride is no where near over!
